Paul Broun: those "looting hordes from Atlanta"

Paul Broun is looking to retake his seat in Georgia's House of Representatives. According to a video posted April 3, 2020, he plans to supplement his campaign by giving away an AR-15 rifle, which he lauds as a "liberty machine" against "looting hordes from Atlanta" and a "tyrannical government from Washington." The giveaway was announced in a video that has circulated on Twitter. It was also posted on Broun's YouTube channel, as shown below:

Unfortunately for Broun, it is not clear who he is reaching with the effort; nearly every response on Twitter has been negative, and his video currently has only two likes on YouTube.

So just where are all the likes and comments from the 209,917 people who voted for Broun in 2012, or those who are likely to vote for him come November 3rd? That is a good question.

Perhaps what we are really bearing witness to is the totality of Twitter and YouTube's deplatforming efforts, and social media becoming a lib-left echo chamber in consequence. That would explain why there are so few supportive comments or likes on Twitter or YouTube, because one has to have an account on either platform to leave a comment or a like.

For Broun, it would have made sense to focus on the censorship issue, which has long-term consequences for his potential supporters to even shill for him and debate his merit with potential opponents. But no. Instead, we get red meat gun giveaways to bait the "you'll take it from my cold dead hands" crowd. And, when it comes to actual policy, we get Zionism-first. It's all so tiresome and predictable.
