Hoping to provide Norway with an unskilled labor pool and support diversity, the Norwegian government granted citizenship to millions of immigrants from Africa and the Middle East. Now, Norway is in the same position as the rest of Europe - and, quite possibly, in the worst way.
The Brussels Journal reports that the country's Muslim immigrants are six times more likely to commit rape than natives.
Norway's capital, Oslo, accounts for 20% of Norway's population and is the fastest growing city in Europe due to immigration. Roughly a quarter of the city lacks a "Western" heritage. If the immigrant population continues to grow disproportionate to the size and growth of the native population, there may be problems on the horizon concerning cultural representation and other political matters.
A third issue is that most immigrant children are poor. The left wants to tackle the economic situation by elevating the immigrants above being just an unskilled labour force - i.e. give away the better paying jobs that were once made available to the natives.
Faced with criminal, representative and economic issues, the Norwegian government has been busy monitoring who is utilizing the Norwegian flag and why. As a result of a government investigation, Norwegian authorities have just filed a lawsuit against a clothing manufacturer that makes use of a variety of Northern culture motifs, from the runes to the Norwegian flag. The government has called the company's use of the Norwegian flag an "abuse".
Imagine, a government spending its time trying to control the use of age-old symbols like the Nordic cross - despite the fact that what the government is doing, turning Norway into a haven for immigrants and turning a blind eye to the country's problems, has absolutely nothing to do with what the Nordic cross and Norwegian flag were ever associated with.
