Who's banning who?

In Germany, the center and left-wing political parties want to initiate legal proceedings against the National Democratic Party (NPD) so the German High Court finds the party to be "anti-democratic" and approves a ban.

Of course, this means the mainstream parties, with their claws dipped into state intelligence, will have to come clean about their infiltration of the NPD first. The reason being, the last time the mainstream parties tried to take the NPD to court (2003), it became clear that the questionable acts attributed to the NPD may have been the work of the government agents who had infiltrated the party and begun acting recklessly so the German High Court would consider a ban in the first place.

Cheating to make a party appear anti-democratic and be wiped away as an alternative for the people - is that not anti-democratic behavior in and of itself?
