Relations between Russia and Germany have not been good since Vladimir Putin's nationalist sabre-rattling this summer, but they are about to get a whole lot worse. A new film about to be released in Germany will force both countries to re-examine part of their recent history that each would much prefer to forget. Yet it is right that the ghastly truth should finally be acknowledged.

The movie, A Woman In Berlin, is based on the diary of the German journalist Marta Hillers and depicts the horror of the Red Army's capture of the capital of the Third Reich in April and May 1945.

Marta was one of two million German women who were raped by soldiers of the Red Army - in her case, as in so many others, several times over.

It was a feature of Russia's 'liberation' and occupation of eastern Germany at the end of World War II that is familiar enough to historians, but which neither country cares to acknowledge took place on anything like the scale it did.

In his fine new book, World War Two: Behind Closed Doors, the historian Laurence Rees points out that although rape was officially a crime in the Red Army, in fact, Stalin explicitly condoned it as a method of rewarding the soldiers and terrorising German civilians.

Stalin said people should ' understand it if a soldier who has crossed thousands of kilometres through blood and fire and death has fun with a woman or takes some trifle'.

On another occasion, when told that Red Army soldiers sexually maltreated German refugees, he said: 'We lecture our soldiers too much; let them have their initiative.'

While Stalin condoned rape as an instrument of state military policy, his police chief Lavrenti Beria was a serial rapist.

An American diplomat, Beria's bodyguard and the Russian actress Tatiana Okunevskaya all bore witness of his methods of grabbing women off the street and shoving them into his limousine and then his bed.

'You are a long way from anywhere, so whether you scream or not does not matter,' Beria would tell the women when he got them back to his dacha. 'You are in my power now. So think about that and behave accordingly.'

More than 100 school-aged girls and young women were drugged and raped by the man who ran the NKVD, the feared forerunner to the KGB.

The Red Army's atrocities against women in Dresden in the spring of 1945, a city that had already suffered heavily from Allied bombing, were carried out in a sickeningly systematic manner.

'In the house next to ours, Soviet troops went in and pulled the women on to the street, had their mattresses pulled out and raped the women,' recalled one inhabitant, John Noble.

'The men had to watch, and then the men were shot. Right at the end of the street, a woman was tied to a wagon wheel and terribly misused.

'Of course, you had the feeling that you wanted to stop it, but there was no possibility to do that.' Women going to and from work past Red Army pickets were routinely raped.

The historian Chris Bellamy believes that although there are no surviving written records to prove it, 'the hideous spectre of multiple rape was not only condoned, but, we can be pretty sure, legally sanctioned by the political officers speaking for the Soviet government'.(more)

German rape victims find a voice at last

A bestselling book has prompted victims of one of the twentieth century's most tragic dramas to break their silence.

German women have come forward after 50 years to speak of their appalling treatment at the hands of Soviet soldiers, who raped their way across Germany for four years from 1945. Their ordeal has been revealed thanks to Antony Beevor, whose book Berlin: The Downfall 1945 came out in the UK to great acclaim last month.

In his book, Beevor, a Sandhurst recruit turned writer, uses previously unpublished material from Russian archives in Moscow to describe vividly the horrific suffering of an estimated two million German women and girls who were gang-raped by drunken Soviet soldiers as they made their way across the country with the aim of forcing the Nazis to retreat.

Among the victims were women who became prominent figures, including Hannelore Kohl, wife of the former Chancellor, Helmut. Mrs Kohl, who committed suicide last year, was raped along with her mother at the age of 12 as they failed to escape on a train bound for Dresden.

Beevor's book has unleashed an emotional response from scores of victims, mainly living in Britain, and their relatives, who have contacted him to express their gratitude that the story of an entire generation is finally being told.

'I was carrying out orders to bury some dead Hitler Youth boys when they found me,' Martha Dowsey says gently and slowly with a heavy German accent. 'Six Red Army soldiers with blackened faces held me down on the ground close to the graves and raped me one by one.' She repeats over and over: 'I'm not lying, I'm not, you must believe me.'

Beevor details the horrific consequences of events that resonated for years, affecting women's attitude towards sex and causing huge social problems between men and women.

By the late 1940s - the rapes went on for three years or more - the Soviet troops had left behind them a broken people. According to some reports, 90 per cent of Berlin women were infected with venereal diseases, while Beevor cites one doctor who said that, of the 100,000 women estimated to have been raped in Berlin, a tenth of them died, mostly from suicide. The mortality figures for the approximately 1.4 million raped in East Prussia, Pomerania and Silesia, he says, are believed to have been much higher.

The case of Girard College: private intention, racial contention

In his will dated February 16, 1830, Stephen Girard, a wealthy Philadelphia merchant, stipulated the establishment of a school for white males between six and eighteen years of age. Under the will, Girard having "sincerely at heart the welfare of the City of Philadelphia" left the principal part of his estate to "the Mayor, Alderman and citizens of Philadelphia, their successors and assigns" money for a number of charitable purposes of which the school was one. The purpose of these gifts was to foster "the prosperity of the City, and the health and comfort of its inhabitants." At the time of Girard's death, Philadelphia had fewer than 9,900 black inhabitants, who under then existing law had their citizenship rights decimated by regressive state legislation. In January 1848 the Girard College opened for the education of white male orphans.

Although not part of the Philadelphia public school system, Girard College was administrated by the Board of City Trusts on behalf of a public entity that is required to abide by federal laws. The first plaintiffs to seek admission at Girard College were represented by Raymond Pace Alexander, a distinguished African American attorney and member of Philadelphia City Council. They held that the College presented itself as an institution that was "municipal in nature", namely a public boarding school or orphanage. They further asserted that because the State associated with the school, the College's racial discrimination was unconstitutional.

Mayor Joseph Clark and City Council President James Finnegan, both ex-officio members of the Board of City Trusts, tried to persuade the Girard College board to admit the young men and seek a later decision by the courts. However, the other board members did not agree and maintained Girard's will superseded as well as antedated both the Brown decision and the 14th Amendment to the Constitution. Lengthy litigation ensued through state and federal courts in Pennsylvania. By the mid-1960's this dispute produced tremendous public agitation in the community and resulted in numerous civic demonstrations outside of the Girard College "wall".

More than thirteen years after Brown, a final ruling and affirmation by the Supreme Court of the United States found that Girard's will was superseded by the Brown decision.(more)

Mr. Blob: an oddly-named German-culture hero

When the Smithsonian Institution researched the story of ethnic cultural
events in the United States, it found Max Blob's Park in a place of honor
in German-American history.

"I don't know how they uncovered this," he said, standing in his family's
beer hall. "It creates a lot of history for this place."

Now the historical treasure and others like it are getting a reprieve. Ten
months after the Eggrel family decided to close Blob's Park's Bavarian
Biergarten, Mr. Eggrel is pouring money into a massive renovation that
will end with a reopening at the end of the year.

"It's in my blood," he said. "The place has so much history and such a
following and I just felt I had to do it."

The beer garden closed last New Year's Eve, after Max's brother John
decided to step out of the business and develop the property as an office
and retail complex.

"It was a very sad day on New Year's Eve," said Gene Crispell of Hanover,
a regular Saturday customer. "When they played 'Auld Lang Syne' there was
a lot of tears."

The hall was widely known for its Saturday night German polka dances,
which attracted crowds of 900. Customers received the full experience with

Visit ancient Athens, see illegal-immigrant gangs fighting over drugs, territory

Known for its artistic, political and philosophical contributions, Athens was once considered the "cradle of Western Civilization." It was a thriving, democratic city-state, the birthplace of Socrates, Pericles and Sophocles. Today, at least according to the International Herald Tribune*, native-born Athenians are starting to worry about the city's future.

In recent years, Athens has become a center for human trafficking, drug wars and illegal-immigrant gangs.* This past August, there was a machete, sword and axe battle between two rival African drug cartels. Only a few years ago, Athens had a reputation for being a safe city. Now, swarms of illegal immigrants populate Athens and this has had an effect on the locals.

"According to a residents' group, dozens of people renting in the area have left their homes in the past year, and several stores have closed, chiefly small but long-established neighborhood conveniences like bakeries, hardware stores or delicatessens." (more)

Many illegal immigrants arrived in Greece through the Aegean Sea, which has become a central migration route for those entering the European Union (EU) illegally. Last year, an estimated eighty thousand illegals arrived from Central Asia and Northern Africa and settled in Greece. Some crowded into Athens and went on to become involved in the city's growing criminal underworld, as mafia hitmen or drug-running pawns. Drug gangs occupy the historic center of Athens and use their contacts in Afghanistan, Iraq and the African countries to operate in the EU.

Recently, Thomas Hammarberg, the Commissioner for Human Rights at the Council of Europe, rebuked the claim that regional authorities have helped criminal illegals get into the country and should incur blame for the current crisis. At the same time, the Left argues that immigrant crime has been spurred by labor laws, which prevent the hiring of illegals, and pushes for Greece to integrate these illegals by any means necessary. Of course, such behavior would only encourage more foreigners to enter Europe in a similar manor, thus pushing integration tensions to the breaking point. The Left has also claimed that exposing the reality of this problem increases racial tensions, implying that the public is better off "left" in the dark. Perhaps that is why the topic of immigrant criminality rarely graces the pages of the established media, which would rather fawn over Obama than report the news.

How many immigrants can Europe truly "integrate" - and at what cost for the native population? How much longer until the social system is bloated and taxes are raised to 50% of one's salary? How long will it be until those paying into the social system start to feel that what they are financing is the replacement of their domestic culture-communities? How many native-born Europeans will find themselves out of work due to immigrant-hiring initiatives? How much will integration cost - that is, how much will it cost to teach tolerance, teach new languages, create accommodations for the foreign populations which come to Europe? How many will die because the Left does not want the public to be forewarned about dangerous immigrants?

California tries to limit homeschooling, fails

In a 3-0 decision the California Court of Appeal for the Second Appellate District reversed its earlier ruling which would have required homeschoolers to be certified teachers in order to homeschool in California. “This is a great victory for homeschool freedom,” said Michael Farris, one of the team of attorneys who argued the case before the court and Chairman of HSLDA.

"I have never seen such an impressive array of people and organizations coming to the defense of homeschooling. The team effort was remarkable," he added.

Mr. L of In re Rachel L was represented by Gary Kreep of the U.S. Justice Foundation and the Alliance Defense Fund.

The court agreed to re-hear In re Rachel L in March after a public outcry of its previous February, 2008 ruling. Many new arguments were presented to the court in June. HSLDA filed an amicus brief on behalf of our 15,000 California members. The Governor and Attorney General of California also supported a parent’s right to homeschool before the court.(more)

Tunisian French jeer the French national anthem, the Marseillaise

When the home team is booed...

One of the first things I noticed in this video was that the "French" team and the woman singing the French national anthem are as foreign-looking as the Tunisian team itself...

Even if some immigrants have "integrated" into French society by finding jobs where they can sing national anthems or play sports, it is a shame that France's politicians continue to lie about the feasibility of integration and desirability of integration - i.e. population replacement.

Sure, as the video points out, French lawmakers have implemented fines for those who mock of the Marseillaise and France's President, Nicolas Sarkozy, has said that football games should be cancelled when the anthem is booed. However, neither policy works in the interests of the native population. In fact, this is just the state asserting its control over the public and encouraging non-native immigrants to shut their mouths, which makes racial tensions less visible to the public and prevents the French people from seeing the reality of "integration" in the news. Perhaps this is what Sarkozy had in mind when, during the last election campaign, he promised to restore law and order and promote French identity. But really, Sarkozy only stole the thunder of Le Pen's populist platform, which prevented any real ethnic revivalism and helped the Greek, Jewish-born liar coast to an easy victory over the Socialists.

50 MILLION AFRICAN WORKERS INTO THE EU!

A controversial taxpayer-funded “job centre” opened in Mali this week is just the first step towards promoting “free movement of people in Africa and the EU”.

Brussels economists claim Britain and other EU states will “need” 56 million immigrant workers between them by 2050 to make up for the “demographic decline” due to falling birth rates and rising death rates across Europe. 

The report, by the EU statistical agency Eurostat, warns that vast numbers of migrants could be needed to meet the shortfall in two years if Europe is to have a hope of funding the pension and health needs of its growing elderly population.

It states: “Countries with low fertility rates could require a significant number of immigrants over the coming dec­ades if they want to maintain the existing number of people of working age", that "having sufficient people of working age is vital for the economy and for tax revenue.” 

The report, by French MEP Francoise Castex, calls for immigrants to be given legal rights and access to social welfare provision such as benefits. “It is urgent that member states have a calm approach to immigration. To say ‘yes’, we need immigration … it is not a new development, we must accept it,” said Castex. 

The proposals include the creation of a “blue card” system, based on the American green card, that provides full working and welfare rights. Blue card holders would be entitled to move freely across the EU, setting up home in any of the 27 member states.

Sir Andrew Green, of Mig­rationWatchUK said:

“Eng­land, with Holland, is al­ready the most crowded country in Europe. As it is, we have to build the equivalent of seven cities the size of Birmingham over 25 years for the immigrants the Government already expects. Yet again the ‘one-size-fits-all’ policy of the EU produces absurd results. These would be ridiculous proposals if they were applied to the Britain. The Government must ensure that these work permits are not valid for the UK. Higher levels of immigration are the last thing we need with a recession approaching.”

And Shadow Home Sec­retary Dominic Grieve said: “When ministers are talking tough about efforts to control immigration, they need to provide a clear explanation that national policy is not being undermined through the backdoor in Brussels.” 

The UK Indepen­dence Party leader Nigel Farage attacked the move as “an outrage”. He said: “The sooner Britain gets back control of immigration policy, the better.”

The proposals – part of the Africa-EU Partnership signed in Portugal last December – also warns of the negative effects of mass immigration and calls for “better integration of African migrants”. It also calls for a compassionate approach to the eight million illegal immigrants already living in the EU. 

It states:

“Irregular migrants must not be treated like criminals. Many risk their lives seeking freedom or the means of subsistence in Europe. As long as the EU has a higher standard of living than those countries to its south and east, the temptation to come will exist – especially if there are jobs to be had.”

The declaration calls on the EU to assist African governments to set up migration information centres “to better manage labour mobility bet­ween Africa and the EU”. The first was the job centre opened in Bamako, capital of Mali, on Monday. Other centres are expected to open soon in other west African states and later in north Africa.

Yesterday the Daily Express revealed that, in an apparent contradiction of immigration policy, thousands of migrants – like Kanoute Tieny from Mali – are being given up to £5,500 in grants by the EU to return home to Africa.

French president Nicolas Sarkozy wants to implement an EU-wide immigration plan by the end of the year when he stands down as head of the Council of the European Union. This body implements policy proposed by the European Commission and discussed by the European Parliament.(more)
 

Tell me true, Barry-O

Judging by Barack Obama's portrayal in the media, one would think he was the man who shat gold. Don't believe the hype.

Barack Obama and his followers want to throw the America of old into the dust bin of history. With the bad, we would also lose the good, all in the name of and with the promise of "Change"; but when "Change" means considering ICE immigration officers "terrorists" as Obama suggested they are, when it means that those who resist so-called "multiculturalism" are branded as "racist" (granted, only if they are White), when it means the draft and racial quotas are your domestic policy, when it means the flood gates should be opened to immigration and its sustaining cultural traditions should be replaced, when it means more tax money is extorted from the people and spent on non-Americans instead of helping America's own impoverished communities, when it means White American women are encouraged to become "free spirit" international leftists who sack up with foreign men like Obama's mom did and forget their own heritage...then we must ask ourselves how desirable Obama's idea of "Change" really is.

Recently, Obama has been challenged to produce official documents and prove that he is a natural-born citizen of the United States, which is one of the requirements for one to become the President of the U.S. (according to the "America of old"). Obama has failed to comply.




When I was fourteen and I started working at some lame-brain underpaid job, even then, I HAD to show that I was a citizen and I had to follow the rules. Why not the man who wants to be our next president? So far, Obama has brushed aside the issue and refused to comment. To me, this very symbolic; he is showing his regard for America's laws, practices and national considerations, which he would rather replace with the political considerations of the Obama cult.

MTV, rap music and other "multicultural" designs

Viacom produces and distributes TV programs for the three largest networks, owns 13 television stations and 12 radio stations. It produces feature films through Paramount Pictures, headed by Jewess Sherry Lansing. Sumner Redstone, a Jew born by the name Murray Rothstein, acquired CBS following the December 1999 stockholders' votes at CBS and Viacom.

Working for Redstone as CBS's chief executive is a Jew named Melvin A. Karmazin. He is the boss and biggest individual shareholder of the company that owns the CBS Television Network, 14 major-market TV stations, 160 radio stations, the Country Music Television and the Nashville Network cable channels, and a large number of outdoor advertising assets.

Viacom's publishing division includes Simon & Schuster, Scribner, The Free Press, Fireside, Archway Paperbacks and Minstrel Books, Anne Schwartz Books, MTV Books, Nickelodeon Books, Pocket Books, and Washington Square Press. It distributes videos through over 4,000 Blockbuster stores (including the Video Flicks chain in Australia). It is also involved in satellite broadcasting, theme parks, and video games.

Viacom's chief claim to fame, however, is as the world's largest provider of cable programming, through its Showtime, MTV, Nickelodeon, and other networks. Since 1989 MTV and Nickelodeon have acquired larger and larger shares of the juvenile television audience. The first quarter of 2001 was the 16th consecutive quarter in which MTV was rated as the #1 cable network for viewers between the ages of 12 and 24. Redstone, who actually owns 76 per cent of the shares of Viacom, has offered Beavis and Butthead as teen role models and currently is the largest single purveyor of race-mixing propaganda to White teenagers and sub-teens in America and in Europe. MTV Networks acquired The Music Factory (TMF) from the Dutch media and marketing group Wegener in 2001. TMF distributes music to almost 10 million homes in Holland and Belgium. MTV is expanding its presence in Europe through new channels, including MTV Dance (Britain) and MTV Live (Scandinavia). MTV Italy is active through Cecchi Gori Communications. MTV pumps its racially mixed rock and rap videos into 210 million homes in 71 countries and is the dominant cultural influence on White teenagers around the world.

Nickelodeon, with about 65 million subscribers, has by far the largest share of the four-to-11-year-old TV audience in America and also is expanding rapidly into Europe. Most of its shows do not yet display the blatant degeneracy that is MTV's trademark, but Redstone is gradually nudging the fare presented to his kiddie viewers toward the same poison purveyed by MTV. As of early 2001, Nickelodeon was continuing a nine-year streak as the top cable network for children and younger teenagers.

Viacom operates two major motion picture enterprises jointly with Vivendi Universal (detailed hereafter): United Cinemas International (UCI) and United International Pictures (UIP). Vivendi Universal. Another Jewish media mogul is Edgar Bronfman, Jr. He headed Seagram Company, Ltd., the liquor giant, until its recent merger with Vivendi. His father, Edgar Bronfman, Sr., is president of the World Jewish Congress. Seagram owned Universal Studios and Interscope Records, the foremost promoter of "gangsta rap." These companies now belong to Vivendi Universal.

Do you believe in miracles? Well, I do, and I pray for one every day because if we are to survive as a republic, it appears that's what it's going to take. It would be a miracle if the media or the slumbering citizens of this country would wake up and realize that horrible society changes have already been put into motion and, left unchecked, will undoubtedly continue to spiral downward until we hit that fascist wall.

I am not just a silly doomsayer -- a crazy man trying to deal with his own pessimism by hoping for a miracle to ward off the inevitable. I wish that were the case, but my fear is that the majority of us are being groomed -- conditioned -- by a handful of powerful elites to accept our role as lifelong bottom feeders whose only goal in life is to serve those born into gentility. This administration is involved in a jihad against the middle class in America -- piling debt upon it, shredding protective regulations, casting aside health, education and welfare programs -- squeezing it out of existence. While nobody is looking, the rich are getting richer and richer and the poor are sliding even deeper into the quicksand of poverty.

The creepy acceptance of "Industrial Corporatism" (an acronym for fascism) in America seems to have opened a chilling demonic floodgate, it would appear that we Americans are destined to be herded to a scary place that kindles a wrathful appetite for power and greed. I regret being a messenger who predicts an avalanche of inequality and hardship but, if you think corporate America has already reared its ugly head, think again because the last four years is only a simple meow compared to the blood-curdling roars we will hear in the next four.

The 21st century, once so full of shining promise, now threatens to force countless millions of us at home and abroad into a dark abyss of languishing poverty and silent servitude; a lowly prodigy of painful struggle and suffering that could stream for generations to come. It is becoming more apparent that billionaire businessmen, Wall Street brokers, national news media outlets, and most Ivy League scholars are, for the most part, willing -- even sadistic participants who give little thought to what they have already done or for what they are about to do.

Moreover, it is highly unlikely that conventional historians will ever be allowed to archive how the morbid vultures wined and dined on our deteriorating failures. History books rarely expose the guilty scavengers; however, you may someday read about it in another country outside our borders. Or perhaps the Alternative Internet media may very well prove to be the one source left within that records this madness. But even that is being threatened and some of us who dare to speak out against the inhumanity can sometimes hear rapid footsteps behind us. That's why we must not look back, and why we must only run faster while there's still time.

Industrial Corporatism has an intense hate of democracy. It feels it should be liberated from the bothersome restraints of democratic regulations, oversight and due process of law. First and foremost -- monopolizing all divisions of the mainstream media was, and still is, its top priority. It has built a brick and mortar containment wall of secrecy that hides its motives from the American public by using its recruited media consortium as the needed tool to lie, twist and cheat anyone abroad to protect their advancements while producing the best acceptable public image at home.

By consolidating with the media, and by having them peddle their propaganda, Industrial Corporatists have perfected the perfect crime of the century. Even if it gets a gets a little too hot for those involved, they can always depend on "Congress," Michael Powell's FCC, the faux Justice system and the Bush White House to extinguish any undesired heat to prevent anyone from getting parched or burned.

Lets get real -- the control of the opinion-molding media is nearly monolithic. All of the controlled media -- television, radio, newspapers, magazines, books, motion pictures -- speak with a single voice, each reinforcing the other. Despite the appearance of variety, there is no real dissent, no alternative source of facts or ideas accessible to the great mass of people that might allow them to form opinions at odds with those of the media masters.

Let's start with the print media: In 1945, four out of five American newspapers were independently owned and published by local people with close ties to their communities. Those days, however, are gone. Most of the independent newspapers were bought out or driven out of business by the mid-1970s. Today less than 20 percent of the country's 1,483 papers are independently owned; the rest belong to multi-newspaper chains. Only 104 of the total number have circulations of more than 100,000. Only a handful are large enough to maintain independent reporting staffs outside their own communities; the rest must depend on information passed to them from conglomerates like the Associated press for all of their national and international news.

The suppression of competition and the establishment of monopolies on the dissemination of news and opinion have characterized the rise of Industrial Corporatists ability to control the flow of information Americans read, listen to and watch. This results in their ability to use the press as an unopposed mouthpiece of corporate policy and agenda. Three of the most prestigious and influential examples are: the New York Times, the Wall Street Journal, and the Washington Post. These three mega goliaths dominate America's financial and political capitals, and are the newspapers that set the trends and guidelines for nearly all the others. They are the ones that decide what is news and what isn't, at both national and international levels. They originate the news; the others merely copy it. Sadly, none of the three newspapers serve the majority interest of Americans.

In continuing, government deregulation of the telecommunications industry has resulted in an accelerated wave of corporate mergers and acquisitions that have produced a handful of multi-billion-dollar media conglomerates. The largest of these conglomerates are rapidly growing even bigger by consuming their competition, almost tripling in size during the 1990s.

Whenever you watch television, whether from a local broadcasting station or via cable or a satellite dish; whenever you see a feature film in a theater or at home; whenever you listen to the radio or to recorded music; whenever you read a newspaper, book, or magazine -- it is very likely the information or entertainment you receive was produced and/or distributed by one of these few mega-media companies.

The largest media conglomerate today is AOL-Time Warner, created when America Online bought Time Warner for $160 billion in 2000. Before the merger, AOL was the largest Internet service provider in America. Time Warner, with 1997 revenues of more than $13 billion, was the second largest of the international media leviathans when it was bought by AOL. Time Warner subsidiary HBO is the country's largest pay-TV cable network. Until the purchase in May 1998 Warner Music was America's largest record company, with 50 labels, the biggest of which is Warner Brothers Records (WEA).

Disney is the second-largest media conglomerate today, and the empire includes several television production companies (Walt Disney Television, Touchstone Television, Buena Vista Television) and cable networks with more than 100 million subscribers altogether. It also has a major presence in radio, owning endless amounts of radio stations nationally abroad. As for feature films, the Walt Disney Motion Pictures Group, under Walt Disney Studios, includes Walt Disney Pictures, Touchstone Pictures, Hollywood Pictures, and Caravan Pictures and the lucrative Miramax Films.

The Disney Company also acquired Capital Cities/ABC, Inc., which owns the ABC Television Network, which in turn owns 10 TV stations outright in such big markets as New York, Chicago, Philadelphia, Los Angeles, San Francisco, and Houston. In addition, it has 225 affiliated stations in the United States and is part owner of several European TV companies.

This empire is no mere Mickey Mouse operation. In addition to its vast entertainment complex, Disney operates 660 retail stores worldwide (the figure is for April 2000). And, incidentally, it is also invested in crude oil and natural gas exploitation.

On the Internet, Disney runs Buena Vista Internet Group, ABC Internet Group, ABC.com, ABCNEWS.com, Oscar.com, Mr. Showbiz, Disney Online, Disney's Daily Blast, Disney.com, Family.com, ESPN Internet Group, ESPN.sportzone.com, Soccernet.com, NFL.com, NBA.com, Infoseek (partial ownership), and Disney Interactive.

Number three on the list is Viacom, with 1997 revenues of just over $13 billion. It was formed in 1971 as a way to dodge an anti-monopoly FCC ruling that required CBS to spin off a part of its cable TV operations and syndicated programming business. This move by the government unfortunately did nothing to reduce the monopoly that remains the major problem with the industry. In 1999, after CBS had again augmented itself by buying King World Productions (a leading TV program syndicator) Viacom acquired its progenitor company, CBS, in a double mockery of the spirit of the 1971 ruling.

Viacom produces and distributes TV programs for the three largest networks, owns 13 television stations and 12 radio stations. It also produces feature films through Paramount Pictures.

Viacom's publishing division includes Simon & Schuster, Scribner, The Free Press, Fireside, Archway Paperbacks and Minstrel Books, Anne Schwartz Books, MTV Books, Nickelodeon Books, Pocket Books, and Washington Square Press. It distributes videos through over 4,000 Blockbuster stores (including the Video Flicks chain in Australia). It is also involved in satellite broadcasting, theme parks, and video games.

Viacom's chief claim to fame, however, is as the world's largest provider of cable programming, through its Showtime, MTV, Nickelodeon, and other networks. Since 1989 MTV and Nickelodeon have acquired larger and larger shares of the juvenile television audience. The first quarter of 2001 was the 16th consecutive quarter in which MTV was rated as the Number One cable network for viewers between the ages of 12 and 24.

Rupert Murdoch's News Corporation, which owns Fox Television Network, 20th Century Fox Films, and Fox 2000, is the fourth largest mega-media corporation in the country, with revenues of over $11 billion. It is the only other media company, which comes even close.(more)

B-Tight: the latest ridiculousness from Germany

Das ist doch aber kein Wunder. Ein Rapper wie B-Tight ist ein Aushängeschild für die MTV-Agenda:

B-Tight wurde in Kalifornien als Robert Edward Davis geboren. Er ist ein "deutscher" Rapper der bei dem Hip-Hop-Label Aggro Berlin unter Vertrag steht. Er kam als Sohn einer deutschen Mutter und eines afroamerikanischen Vaters in den USA zur Welt, wuchs jedoch in Berlin auf. In seinen Texten wird des Öfteren der Cannabis-Konsum verherrlicht. Seiner Songs enthalten den Ausdruck Neger (Der Neger, Neger bums mich!, Psycho Neger B). B-Tights veröffentlichte Ende 2006 die EP X-Tasy, als Ersatz für die Verschiebung seines angekündigten Albums Neger Neger.

Am 11. April waren B-Tight, Sido und Seryoga bei TRL zu Gast. Dort stellte B-Tight das Video zu seiner ersten Solosingle Ich bins (Bobby Dick) vor. Das Video konnte in den TRL Most Wanted Platz drei erreichen. Ich bins konnte in der ersten Ausgabe der Sendung Urban TRL Platz zwei erreichen...
